(g-h)(a)= g(a)-h(a)= 2a + 4 -(-3a²+a)= 2a + 4 +3a²-a= 3a²+ a +4

(g-h)(a)=3a²+ a +4

(g - h) = (2a + 4) - (3a² + a) = 2a + 4 - 3a² - a = a + 4 -3a²
(g - h)(a) means replace all of the "a"s from "g-h" with "a" = a + 4 -3a²
