The reason why County Commissioners come to office is to raise the role, development and responsiveness of county government in Georgia since counties are the level of government closest to the people and who serves all the people of the state. Moreover, they have to provide public services responsibly. They have to serve efficiently and cost effectively through cooperative legislative action, education of public officials, in condition of quality member services and technical assistance and lastly extending public awareness of critical local government issues.
