Why are you supposed to use a new needle for checking your blood sugar?

You have to change it other wise you could add infection to your skin and cause possible damage to you blood cells.

You are suppose to change your lancet every time you check your blood pressure because it can prevent changes in skin, infections, painful fingersticks, etc.
