The two particles that are located in the nucleus of the atom are protons and neutrons.

Atoms mainly contain three sub-atomic particles. Each of these particles has its own name. They are known as the protons, the neutrons, and the electrons. The part you are trying to find, which is the nucleus, is smaller than a whole atom. Although they are smaller, protons and neutrons are still located inside the nucleus.

The nucleus of the atom contains protons and neutrons.

Electrons are located in electron rings that wrap the atom, not the nucleus.
