Journey 1--Mississippi River--followed the river to find the beginning point, stepped over it and moved back down the river on the western side.
Journey 2--Arkansas River and the Rio Grande--moved from St. Louis westward and then traveled along the Rio Grande south to Mexico, crossed the Rio Grande and head east to Louisiana.
