The government system in America is based on Athenian democracy where the idea of representatives is considered an important Roman contribution. The Roman government was made up of the: Executive, legislature and, Judiciary with varying responsibilities. The influence of Rome on modern government was witnessed in history when the Nation was a republic and control belonged to the Senate.
