Neoliberalism is guided by the principles of privatization, deregulation and free market. The principle of Free Trade is the core of NAFTA. When combined, privatization, deregulation and free trade, these principles opened the economy to low wage, non-union workforce.

Now, this kind of economy is a risky one for the workforce because they can be susceptible to exploitation because their rights to labor rights are not of utmost priority. This kind of economy focuses on landing the biggest multinational company looking for cheap labor.
