you can see that it is “We the People” who are giving the government their powers. This is very important because without the people lending that power, the United States Constitution would not have been able to become the guideline for the Republican government we have today.

It implies that this new government will work for the people of America. That's how my teacher explained it. If its on a test or something, I don't know if it will be right
