If 86.1 g of nitrogen reacts with lithium how many grams of lithium will react

Solution:

The balance chemical equation is as follow,

6 Li + N₂ → 2 Li₃N

According to this equation,

28 g (1 mole) N
₂ reacts with = 41.64 g (6 moles) of Li
So,
86.1 g of N₂ will react with = X g of Li

Solving for X,
X = (86.1 g × 41.64 g) ÷ 28 g

X = 128 g of Li
