A water balloon is tossed into the air with an upward velocity of 25 ft/s. It’s height h(t) in ft after t seconds is given by the function h(t)=-16^2+25t+3. Show your work. 19. After how many seconds will the balloon hit the ground? (Hint: use the quadratic formula) 20. What will the height be at t=1 second

For this case we have the following encuacion:
h (t) = - 16t ^ 2 + 25t + 3
We match zero:
-16t ^ 2 + 25t + 3 = 0
Solving the polynomial we have:
t1 = -0.11197537049727824
t2 = 1.6744753704972783
Taking the positive root we have:
t = 1.67 s
The height for t = 1 is:
h (1) = - 16 * (1) ^ 2 + 25 * (1) +3
h (1) = 12 feet
Answer:
The balloon will hit the ground in:
t = 1.67 s
the height will be at t = 1 second:
h (1) = 12 feet
