Hello!

First you have to know how many planes of symmetry each shape has

A regular pentagonal prism has 6 symmetry planes

A regular triangular prism has 4

6 - 4 = 2

The answer is 2

Hope this helps!

Answer:

Two ( 2 ) more planes of symmetry

Explanation:

A Pentagonal prism is made up 6 symmetry planes while a triangular prism has 4 symmetry planes .

based on this compositions of both a regular pentagonal prism and a regular triangular prism the difference in planes of symmetry will be 2

which is = 6 planes of symmetry minus 4 planes of symmetry

= 6 - 4 = 2 planes of symmetry.

A prism is a geometric figure whose two sides appear similar, equal and are parallel rectilinear figures and its sides are considered as parallelograms. this geometric figure is usually solid in nature.
