I believe the answer is: Decrease in time spent with children

during the middle- and late-childhood years , children are most likely about to enter puberty. At this time period, they started to crave relationship and acknowledgement from other people with their age group. Because of this, they would spend more time with their peers and reduce time spent with the parents.
