Hello!

The answer is: A. Drought

Why?

During La Niña phenomenon, the conditions are the opposite of the climatic conditions created by El Niño phenomenon, in fact, both are the result of temperature changes on the oceans.

For the U.S. specially for the Southern States, During El Niño, ocean waters temperatures turn high, meaning increment of precipitations which translates in cooler weather conditions. On the opposite side, during La Niña, ocean waters temperatures turn below its normal average, which means hotter weather conditions since precipitations are drastically reduced, causing droughts, forestal fires, and others.

Have a nice day!
