Hey there :)

We know the area formula of a circle
Area =
$\pi r^2$ ( r is radius )

We are given the diameter = 34
A radius is half a diameter
radius →
(34)/(2) = 17

Apply the formula
Area =
$\pi (17)^2$
Area =
$\boxed { 289\pi }$
Area ≈
$\boxed {907.92 \ units^2 }$
