It is false that If a country or territory is annexed, it is formally incorporated within the domain of another country or state. This is not correct since it violates the legal transition of territory and that will affect the nation's integrity. This will be a great factor in which war can happen in this area.

It is usually a forcible act and is generally held as an illegal transition of territory.

However, in countries like Russia, they annexed Crimea and formally incorporated it within their own. They also view it as a legal act. The act of annexing deemed as legal depends on the point of view of each country.
