Nuclear decay rates take more time while the chemical reaction rates may happen fast. Chemical reactions may be fast; for example burning of gasoline or slow for example, rusting. They usually require two or more reactants, most of which, along with requiring more than one substance, also requires some energy to get it started. Nuclear decay only requires the radioactive element, and then with time it undergoes spontaneously decay.
