Let the first number be x
1st number = x
2nd number = x + 2
3rd number = x + 4
4th number = x + 6
5th number = x + 8
x + x + 2 + x + 4 + x + 6 + x + 8 = 120
5x + 20 = 120
5x = 100
x = 20
3rd number = x + 4 = 20 + 4 = 24
Answer: 24
