median is the middle, m = m is how i remember it.
first put the numbers in order...

4, 4, 4, 6, 7, 7, 9, 9,

mark the numbers off, then the middle number is the median.
if there is an even amount of numbers, you still just find the middle.
the middle of 6 and 7 would be 6.5, so...

the median is 6.5 !

To find the median you must put them all in chronological order smallest to largest so 4,4,4,6,7,7,9,9 and start crossing out on each side in till you have one or two numbers in this situation you will have two 6 and 7 making the median 6.5
