The Latinos fight for higher wages and other benefits by protests and going on hunger strikes believing that the strength would come from bargaining from the group. They also demanded classes that offer Spanish speaking children to be taught using their own language which is enacted by the Bilingual Education Act that provided funds for schools to develop bilingual and cultural heritage programs.
