The English Parliament organized the government in the Plymouth and Massachusetts Bay colonies. The Massachusetts Bay Colony was an English settlement in North America in the 17th century. The location was around the Massachusetts Bay. The territory owned by the colony included much of present-day central New England, including parts of the U.S. states of Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, and Connecticut.
