y-intercept is a point when x=0,
so
y=x²+2x+6=0²+2*0+6=6
y=6
So y-intercept is (0,6)

The y-intercept occurs when x = 0.
y = x^2 + 2x + 6
Let x = 0
y = 0^2 + 2 * 0 + 6
y = 6
Answer: 6
