For many Republicans, Ronald Reagan's economic policies are seen as a Bench mark of business-friendly policies.

A the time, many questioned the logic behind reducing the tax pool and increasing spending. However, it is true that eventually, his policies did help to grow the American economy.

It should be noted though that the growth was not as strong as under President Carter.
