In my opinion, even though some people differ considering progress in society, the world has changed for the better. The reason is that nowadays there is more awareness as regards human and animal rights. For example, the role is women in society is slowly changing towards a more professional and equal one to men's. Finally, animal cruelty and hunting have been decreasing, with several cases of sentencing aggressors, and people turning to veganism.
