Rachel has $12 in wallet

Shen has $17 in wallet

Pablo has $ 34 in wallet

Solution:

Let "r" be the amount in Rachel wallet

Let "s" be the amount in Shen wallet

Let "p" be the amount in Pablo wallet

Given that Rachel and Shen and Pablo have a total of $ 63 in their wallets

We can frame a equation as:

amount in Rachel wallet + amount in Shen wallet + amount in Pablo wallet = $63

r + s + p = 63 ----- eqn 1

Shen has $5 more than Rachel

amount in Shen wallet = 5 + amount in Rachel wallet

s = 5 + r ----- eqn 2

Pablo has 2 times what Shen has

Amount in Pablo wallet = 2 x amount in Shen wallet

p = 2s ---- eqn 3

Let us solve eqn 1 and eqn 2 and eqn 3 to find values of "s" "r" and "p"

From eqn 2,

r = s - 5 ----- eqn 4

Substitute eqn 4, eqn 3 in eqn 1

s - 5 + s + 2s = 63

4s - 5 = 63

4s = 68

s = 17

Substitute s = 17 in eqn 4

r = s - 5 = 17 - 5 = 12

r = 12

Substitute s = 17 in eqn 3

p = 2(17) = 34

p = 34

Thus we have:

Rachel has $12 in wallet

Shen has $17 in wallet

Pablo has $ 34 in wallet
