unit 3, describe what this phrase means and give an example of the fittest surviving in nature.

This phrase basically means that if you don't have what it takes to fight for yourself in this world, you're going to die. If an animal was born with some sort of disability, the animal would most likely be abandoned by its parents to die alone, because the parents know that it will never be able to survive on its own.
