The factor that can motivate people to start a political revolution is the desire to end government repression

Step-by-step explanation:

American Revolution is the best example of government repressing the people. British colonies in America were divided in their opinion and formed themselves into two groups called patriots and loyalists.

Patriots were the colonists who believed that it is best to secede from English crown. Loyalists were the people who expressed their loyalty to English crown. Britain which is the home land, in order to maintain the financial stability in its economy, decided to levy huge taxes on the colonists without giving any opportunity for them to express their grievances in the parliament. This triggered civil unrest and revolutions began.
