length of rectangle=x-5

area of rectangle=
length*(width)

given area of rectangle=66

so 66=
x*(x-5)

66=x^2-5x

x^2-11x+6x-66=0

x(x-11)+6(x-11)=0

(x+6)(x-11)=0

x=-6,11

here x=11 is acceptable

length of rectangle=x-5=11-5=6cm
