Also opposite angles of a paralleogram are equal .

Here the length of the parts of a diagonal is given.

x^(2) - 40

DE = 6x

Since the length of whole diagonal is the sum of the lengths of the parts of the diagonal ,

Length of BD = BE + DE

=
x^(2) -40 + 6x

Length of BD =
x^2 +6x - 40
