I.e The number of T-shirts that Marissa has + number of T-shirts that Trevor has = 26

Or, M + T = 26 ...........1

And

M = 6 + T ......2

Solving both equations

Put the value of M from eq 2 into eq 1

I.e M + T = 26

Or, (6 + T) + T = 26

Or, 6 + 2 T = 26

or, 2 T = 26 - 6

∴ 2 T = 20

I.e T =
