X=2 y= -1
Is the correct answer and after you replace the variables you can show your work like this: 4(2)+2(-1)=6 which is a true statement because 8-2=6 and then (2)-(-1)=3 and that is a true statement because the two negative symbols turn into a positive so (2)+(1)=3
