Find the point, M, that divides segment AB into a ratio of 3:2 if A is at (0, 15) and B is at (20, 0).

Explanation:

To find M use the Section formula


x_(M) =
(3(20)+2(0))/(3+2) =
(60)/(5) = 12


y_(M) =
(3(0)+2(15))/(3+2) =
(30)/(5) = 6

M = (12, 6 )
