The mitotic rate in onion roots is high, making onion roots ideal for studying mitosis. All of the cells, pictured above, have their own pace for cell division, making all stages of mitosis observable in one small section of the root. If two nuclei can be found in the same cell, which stage of mitosis is observed?

Telophase or cytokinesis would both work. Telophase is when cells are separated and cytokinesis is when the cells are separating but not fully separated. Therefore cytokinesis would be the more appropriate answer for your question. But it all depends on what your teacher want.
