x-axis

y-axis

Here we need to graph time and distance, you can take distance on x-axis and time on y-axis or vice a versa.

As we know distance and time is always positive.

In Quadrant I only both the coordinates are positive

i.e X coordinate positive and Y coordinate positive

i.e distance positive and time positive

Therefore we will use Quadrant I to graph time and distance.

In Quadrant II - X coordinate is negative and Y coordinate is positive

In Quadrant III - X coordinate is negative and Y coordinate is negative

In Quadrant IV - X coordinate is positive and Y coordinates is negative
