If f(x) = x^2 +2 and 5<= x <= -2 :

F(-5)=(-5)^2+2=25+2=27

F(-4)=(-4)^2+2=16+2=18

F(-3)=(-3)^2+2=9+2=11

F(-2)=(-2)^2+2=4+2=6

Average =

(27+18+11+6)/4

=62/4

=15.5

Hope this helps
