What best explains why offspring produced by the same parents do not typically have the same phenotype

Answer:

Because each parent has at least two genes to every phenotype so, in case they have one child there would be 4 possible phenotypes for each gene. A gene express the shape of your ear, the color of your eyes, how tall will you be etc.
