I need some help on my math test!!, I get to retake it but I need help with some of it:

Write the Equation of the line that passes through the point (-4,-9) and has a slope of 1/2

(1)/(2) x + c ← is the partial equation

To find c substitute (- 4, - 9) into the partial equation

- 9 = - 2 + c ⇒ c = - 9 + 2 = - 7

y =
(1)/(2) x - 7 ← equation of line
