Answer:

The perimeter of the square wooden box is 91.2 cm

Area of the square wooden box is 346.56 sq. cm

Explanation:

The original side of the wooden box = 6 cm

Now, New side of the box = Original side of the square + 1.6 cm

= 6 cm + 1.6 cm = 7.6 cm

or, the new side of the wooden square box = 7. 6 cm

(a) PERIMETER of the new box = 12 x Side of the box

= 12 x (7.6 cm) = 91.2 cm

Hence, the perimeter of the square wooden box = 91.2 cm

(b) Area of the new box = 6 x
(Side)^2

= 6 x
(7.6)^2 = 346.56 sq. cm

Hence, the area of the square wooden box = 346.56 sq. cm
