So, we basically mean "what number" (scale factor) should be multiply with the actual value (smaller one) to get the enlarged value (bigger one). From the problem, we can write:

Now we find "k", the scale factor:


k(6)=16.8\\k=(16.8)/(6)\\k=2.8

Hence, the scale factor is 2.8
