Briefly explain why we perceive an object as a particular color, for example, blue.

Answer: because light rays are absorbed and the ones that are reflected are the ones we see.

Explanation: certain objects reflect certain wavelengths or colors of light and our eyes pick up those wavelengths. the only exceptions are black, which absorbs all color and white, which reflects all color.
