Answer:

8 \ pounds

Explanation:

Given: Total weight =
30 \ pounds

Ratio of weight of watermelon to pineapple = 9:2

Weight of Pineapple=
4\ pounds

Weight of Watermelon and cantaloupe =
(Total\ weight) - (weight\ of\ pineapple)

∴ Weight of Watermelon and cantaloupe =
30 - 4= 26 \ pounds

Let the weight of cantaloupe = x

Weight of watermelon =
26 - x

Now, solving to find the weight of cantaloupe

9:2 = (26-x):4

(9)/(2) = ((26-x))/(4)

Cross multiply both side to get;

18 = 26 -x

x= 8 \ pounds

Weight of Cantaloupe is
8\ pounds.
