In the introduction, we saw janet and Patrick discussing their favorite season of the year. So, to find out who's right, they
decide to survey people in their city. They asked random people to answer the following questions:
• Are you a boy or a girl?
• What is your favorite season of the year: spring, summer, winter, or fall?
Janet and Patrick surveyed a total of 219 people. Out of the 137 girls who were surveyed, 28 said summer was their
favorite season and 12 said that winter was their favorite.
The results showed 22 boys said that spring was their favorite season and 8 boys said winter was their favorite
A total of 45 people said that summer was their favorite season and a total of 74 people said that fall was their favorite
season
