You can clearly check, by plotting them, that the points don't lie on a line.

Moreover, they present a descending pattern, until the last point, which comes back up.

This kind of behaviour (descendent and then ascendant) can be modelled by quadratic functions (parabolas)

I believe that the last point is supposed to be (3, -42) rather than (3, 42). So, when graphing these points, the function that best represents the set of data points would be a linear function.
