x = -6 ; y = -1

Explanation:

2 x - y = - 11 .........equ No 1

- 2 x - y = 13 .........equ No 2

Adding equ No. 1 and equ No. 2

- 2 y = 2

∴ y = - 1

substituting y = -1 in equ no 1

2 x - ( -1) = -11

2 x + 1 = - 11

2 x = -11 - 1

2 x = -12

∴ x = -6

x = -6 ; y = -1
