Monroe doctrine is the United states foreign policy which possessed a conflicting opinion regarding European colonialism.

Step-by-step explanation:

Monroe Doctrine aimed at the prevention of the annexation of the Caribbean region, which US thought would be a military threat. It also stated that if European countries intend to take control of any state in America, it would be considered as an act of unfriendly disposition towards United States and also be considered as an act of aggression.

The main purpose of the Monroe doctrine was to end up all the ties with England and other European countries. Later, this doctrine was considered to be evidence which proclaimed American supremacy and dominance over the western hemisphere.
