What is meant by the description antiparallel regarding the strands that make up dna?

The dna strand is wound in a double helix structure. If you were to unwind this it would resemble two lines of ribose sugar backbones and base pairs between them. Anti parallel means these strands run in opposite directions. One will be running upwards and the other will be running downwards.
