No Washington D.C is not part of a state.

Step-by-step explanation:

Washington D.C doesn’t come under the 50 states and it doesn’t belong to any particular state either. After the American civil was Washington markedly increased its territory and was no longer separate from Columbia and it became the capital of United States of America.

It is also simply called Washington or just D.C. it does not fall under 50 states of America, it is just a territory on its own. D.C came into being in the year 1790. Named after president George Washington this territory is under the direct rule of the federal government.
