Given that,

The given expression is :
16x^0+2x^2{\cdot}y^(-1)

To find,

The value of the above expression when x = 2 and y = 4

Solution,

We have,

16x^0+2x^2{\cdot}y^(-1)

Put x = 2 and y = 4 in the above expression.

16x^0+2x^2{\cdot}y^(-1)\\\\=16* (2)^0+2(2)^2* (4)^(-1)\\\\=16* 1+2(2)^2*(1)/(4)\\\\=16+2\\\\=18

So, the value of the above expression is 18.
