Your roommate, Allison Albright, is a non-business major. When she discovered that you are taking a course in Organizational Behavior, she was thoroughly confused as to why one would need to study OB and what it entails. Based on what you have studied, can you help Allison obtain knowledge of organizational behavior?

Organizational behavior refers to studying the behavior of three essential factors in an organization: structure, groups, and individuals. There are two levels of study of organizational behavior, at the individual level is analyzed the profile, motivations, ambitions and individual characteristics of each employee. At the group level, communication and interaction between teams and the organization leader are analyzed.

By studying these factors, a better understanding of the organizational climate is possible, as well as helping in decision making and improving people management practices.
