3. Why did Salomon feel the need to defend the
contribution of Jews to the Revolution?​

He was responding to ambient Anti-Semitism in Post-Revolution America which held that Jews should not have rights in the new country because they did not help to create it. As a result, Haym Salomon defended his own contributions and those of other Jews to the American Revolution in order to justify their rights as free citizens. (Jews were not free citizens in most European countries.) ur welcome
