First, you have to know the phytagreom therom which is

a^2 +b^2=c^2

second , since you know that we are looking for the hypotenuse then we have to add. So, the equation will now look like 6^2+4^2=c^2.

6^2 is 36 and 4^2 is 16.

So, 36+16=c^2

16+36=52.

Then, after you got the sum you have to take the square root of 52 which is 7.211102......

which is about 7.

so, the hypotenuse will be 7 for this traingle. Also, this is one of the triplet pairs of righit traingles.
